About Opportunity:
Genespark is a fast fluorescent molecular labelling technology with unlimited multiplex scalability.
The precursor to the Genespark technology was developed at Robert Gordon University by the team led by Dr. Patricia Pollard and is now being used as a replacement for florescent dyes in document security. The multidisciplinary group brings together expertise in forensic science, microbiology, biochemistry, molecular biology and optical instrumentation. Work began on this project in 2004 and has received funding under the Proof of Concept Program from Scottish Enterprise.
Molecular labels are commonly used for a wide range of human diagnostic purposes ranging from DNA microarrays through to Point of Care antibody tests.
In addition to being a licensing and collaborative opportunity we are in the process of identifying a suitably qualified CEO to lead the Genespark technology to the next level.
