Vectorising Photographic Images
A novel codec has been developed which creates a revolutionary new image format from photographs whilst eliminating the problems of artefacts. By vectorising a photograph, the image is put onto the same basis as a line drawing thus enabling improved manipulation of the image. The vectorised image is indistinguishable from the original and will simplify techniques such as warping or rotating.
Key Benefits
- This technology will vastly improve processes that have, until now, been difficult to achieve with standard photographic images.
Applications
- This technology creates exciting new possibilities in the area of image manipulation offering greater flexibility to graphics companies, digital imaging companies, digital camera companies and film/tv post production companies amongst others.
