Portable Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI)
This technology realtes to a variety of portable MRI products, costing significantly less than current equipment. The commercial market for this technology is potentially huge, not just including the medical market but also creating new demand in areas such as food quality control, veterinary medicine, and materials analysis. We envisage that our technology will enable portable MRI machines to be available in doctor's surgeries, clinics, operating theatres, sports clubs, veterinary practices, supermarkets, abattoirs and dairies. We anticipate that existing medical MR companies would be able to manufacture the technology as an adjunct to their full-scale machines currently used for medical purposes. This project has recieved funding from the Scottish Enterprise Proof of Concept Fund.Key Benefits
