The Civil Engineering Department offers flexible testing services in the areas of Structural Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, Water Engineering, Numerical Analysis and Construction Management, all supported by the vast research and consultancy capability of the faculty of Engineering.

Key Benefits

Specialist Facilities include: a Losenhausen 1000 tonne compression testing machine; a 7m (working section) Tilting Armfield Flume 0.45m (high) x 0.9m (wide); and a Losenhausen 200 tonne compression and tension testing machine.
The Department also has excellent computing facilities with the capability to provide services, testing and consultancy.
