3D Real Time BioPhotonic Imaging & Tracking Suited to Fluoresence Microscopy Applications
Building on existing field proven work on wavefront sensing and adaptive optics the lens system uses a diffraction grating to project multiple image slices simultaneously to a camera or a detector array. These slices represent the +1, 0 and -1 image planes and provide 3 separate images (at different focal depths) that are captured and analysed by the particle tracking software to give positional information.Key Benefits
- Provides real time 3D data of biological processes
- Lens system is compatible with existing microscopes & digital cameras
- Compact optical system suitable for Inverted or Upright microscopes
- Tested in Fluorescence, DIC, Bright/ Dark Field & Phase contrast microscopy imaging modes
- Dedicated image capture & Particle tracking software for high speed imaging
Applications
- “Proof of Concept” has been demonstrated on existing microscopes (e.g. Olympus IX71)
- Prototype lens systems are available for testing
- Particle tracking software available (alpha version)
- “Broadband” system in development
